Swatch book of Thankfulness

The KK8 DT have created swatch books filled with what they are thankful for.I am thankful for family and the time we spend together. I used MDS swatch book template to create my book.I can have the pages printed and use a brad or ring clip to hold them together.

My Birthday Creation!!!

It was my Birthday yesterday!!! I started celebrating Thursday when I arrived a day early for a scrapbook retreat. We always have a great time chatting, taking classes and creating. To join in the fun visit their Meetup group.

I finally had the chance to start the 1st page on my 1st mini album from our Christmas trip to Disney in 2012

It is not complete and missing some embellishments. But I am excited to get started. My goal is to have this be the 1st album I complete

I made journal cards out of Stampin' Up!

Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper 126917 Price: $12.95 Glossy, raised patterns printed on heavy-weight Natural paper. Patterns appear brown and glossy. 12 sheets: 2 ea. of 6 single-sided designs.

Deco Labels Collection Framelits Dies 130102 Price: $24.95 See what you're cutting with Framelits dies. Use with the Big Shot and Standard Cutting Pads. (And if you use the Magnetic Platform too, the Framelits will stay where you put them). Coordinates with the Label Pop 'n Cuts Die to add layers and texture to pop-up cards.

Die cut tip

Have you ever used a die cut and notice it did not make a neat cut or the cut is not deep enough.I hope you can see the difference. Below is a tip that I hope will be helpful...

Top note before tape

If you can see it . At the top left  the paper did not cut smooth and the lines are not deep

Tape added

Notice the smooth cut and deep lines.

When cutting multiply sheets of paper having the tape on the Die cut will stop paper from getting  stuck on the die.

I am the featured ARTISAN of the week!!!

This week I am the featured ARTISAN on http://glitteredroses.com

Glittered Roses creates and supports handmade. When you know the creator, you know the passion. When you know the passion you know the care it took. Promoting partners in such a diverse community rather it be a retailer that provides products or an individual who does the construction, highlighting the unique aspect of handmade businesses through social media is a great way to bring information forward. This week you will have an opportunity to take a look at my business as well as the website of Deirdre Smith who is the proud owner of Glittered Roses.

Welcome Crafty Friends

My name is Shavon "Scrappinvon" Borders.  I am married with 3 children 15,11 and 9. 2 young men and a little lady. I love spending time with them exploring the great outdoors, discovering towns and states around us and watching our kids as they find themselves through all there extra curricular activities. The best part of it all is making scrapbook albums to persevere those moments. I have been crafting for 3 years and have jumped in hands 1st. I decided I was ready and have been running with scissors ever since. I went to a card making class taught by a Stampin' Up! Demo and her team of stampers called the TaDa! Stampers. I  loved the fellowship and creativity so much that I joined them and became a Stampin' Up! Demo. As you visit through the week you will see some great Stampin' Up! products and see my creative side.I would like to thank Deirdre for featuring me on her website. be sure to also check out her facebook page. Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to follow my blog or like my facebook page  for your chance to win
